Auto Injection-Molding Demand Surges: Wuhan Supplier Posts 36% Revenue Growth
According to a Hubei Daily report dated October 16, Wuhan East Asia Synthesis Auto Parts Co., located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, is running its production lines at more than 90% capacity and posted revenue of around RMB 600 million for the first three quarters of the year, up 36% year-on-year. The company supplies Dongfeng Honda, FAW-Volkswagen, Geely, Lantu, Xpeng and other automakers.
Demand for injection-molded automotive parts is climbing steadily as new energy vehicles gain share. Two NEV models will enter volume production in Q4, and new OEM project nominations together with several facelift programs underpin growth for this year and next. The plant's average daily shipments have risen about 45% month-on-month, with an added night delivery shift to secure supply.
To meet the growing order book, the company has invested an additional RMB 500 million in a smart factory this year. The main building is complete, core equipment is being installed, and the plant is scheduled to come online by year-end with production lines ramping in batches. At full capacity it is expected to add 250,000 sets of monthly output, with capacity already pre-booked by several leading NEV makers. Significantly higher automation and flexible changeover capability will support the multi-variant, small-batch, fast-switching production profile of NEV programs.
For the precision parts manufacturing industry, vehicle lightweighting and the growing use of polymer components continue to drive orders across injection molding, tooling and related machining processes. As a manufacturing service provider focused on CNC machining, 5-axis machining and injection molding, we keep a close eye on upstream capacity and process trends to deliver stable, high-precision parts for our customers.
